For me, it was 15 miles. New, fully charged battery. Dead after 15 miles to the BMV. Part of my electrical woes. Next step is changing the alternator.

Don't most auto shops check your alt before selling you a battery? Yeah, I'm thinking this is something you shouldn't be posting. Like me the time I hooked up jumper cables backwards, I'll never admit to that one.

Zero miles. Granted, it was a used battery, but it WAS functional when it was put in the car. It was shorted in such a way that it would drain constantly, even when the car was off.

Does 0 miles and about a minute count? My old truck had some catastrophic electrical fault that would short a battery instantly when you turned the ignition from RUN to START. I give it a minute because that's probably about how long it took to get from the front of the truck to the driver's seat and put the key in the ignition...

Never did fix the fault, tested the alternator/ voltage regulator, the starter was fine, diode checked-out... It was a serious WTF situation. I'm not proud of this, but after disassembling the starting and charging circuits (couldn't find anything wrong) and reassembling them the problem went away. The truck started 10 consecutive times over the next two days and I sold it to a used car lot for low book value. It may sound shitty but that's just the reality with an intermittent fault, sometimes you just have to hope whatever you did fixed it but you can't be sure because you never actually found anything wrong...

I get about 6 miles out of my motorcycle before it dies. Screwy old 6 volt using German electronics on an Italian bike... What could possibly go wrong?

I got it charged up earlier in the day.
My car has a serious power drain

Oh wow, that is impressive. Instant short on turn of a key?!

Eh, about 12-15 minutes in thick sand. The new brushless motor should help though.

Yep, and nothing catching on fire... That's why it was nearly impossible to troubleshoot. There are only so many components that can handle that kind of current and live, all of them checked OK. I wasn't about to start throwing non-refundable money at parts when I already bought its replacement.

My Volvo had that issue, 1985. It caught fire shortly after I sold it.

You're going through the same process I did. Good luck to you!
